DAMBULLA

  • Stop at Dambulla’s great produce market : enjoy its many flavours and aromas!
  • Visit the Golden Temple in Dambulla late afternoon.

DAY 3

SIGIRIYA – POLONNARUWA AND RETURN TO SIGIRIYA

MATALE AND KNUCKLES

KANDY

DAY 5

VISIT OF KANDY AND PERADENIYA

  • Peradeniya : you’ll spend the afternoon ambling around the town and the Royal Botanic Gardens, renowned for their rich diversity
  • Early evening : see a traditional dance performance and a thrilling fire walking demonstration
  • SPA : get an Ayurvedic massage for a well-deserved rest.

DAY 6

VISIT OF MAUSSAWA

 

  • Maussawa and the “green gold” hills : discover an extraordinary nature site

  • Taste: a variety of dishes mostly made with home-grown organic produce

DAY 7

NUWARA ELIYA AND ELLA

 

  • On the road to Nuwara Eliya : walk around the tea fields and visit a tea factory
  • Nuwara Eliya | “Little England” : visit of the city. Several stops are scheduled to discover the real heart of Sri Lanka and meet the population

Dinner and night at Hotel Heaven's Edge (or similar).

DAY 8

BUDURUWAGALA AND YALA

 

  • In the morning you will head south
  • On the road : A first stop in Buduruwagala will enable you to admire the largest statue of Buddha on the island
  • Enjoy a typical local lunch on an agricultural estate.
  • Safari : watching all kinds of wildlife and birds to Yala National Park

Dinner and night at the 3-star Elephant Reach Hotel (or similar).

DAY 9

GALLE AND COLOMBO

 

  • Yala : drive to the cultural city of Galle
  • Galle : visit the city early afternoon
  • Colombo : enjoy free time for dinner

Night at the 3-star Lake Lodge B&B (or similar).

DAY 10

COLOMBO AIRPORT – RETURN FLIGHT

 

  • After breakfast : departure for Colombo International Airport
  • Flight home : Colombo – Paris
